TARA MCARTHUR, LMSW

Therapist

Tara has been working in the field of social work for eighteen years with both a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Social Work. Tara works with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, boundaries and communication, parenting/re-parenting, family conflict and complex trauma. Tara believes in creating a safe and collaborative space to help each person to explore their unique needs and find solutions. Her approach is strength based, person centered, and trauma informed.  


Tara has a variety of experiences in working with children, adults and families in the community, school, and outpatient setting.  Tara has interest and expertise in working with issues related to attachment and family trauma using a variety of modalities focused on awareness, acceptance, and embodiment.  Tara enjoys working with those who identify as LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent.  


In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with her partner and children.  She loves to garden, cook, hike, bike, camp, trail run, and go on walks with her dog.
