Therapist
Stepping into counseling is a courageous step, and it is a privilege to be invited into your story. As a licensed professional counselor, I view therapy as a space where you can be fully heard — where your thoughts, emotions, and experiences are met with compassion, curiosity, and respect. When the heart, mind, and life circumstances feel out of sync, it can create a deep sense of unrest. My goal is to help you find greater alignment, clarity, and peace so you can move forward with intention and confidence.
My path into counseling was shaped by many years of walking alongside people through meaningful life experiences, including a decade in pastoral leadership. Those years strengthened my belief that every person’s story matters and that healing is possible at any stage of life. Today, I bring that perspective into my counseling work, creating a space where you can process what has been heavy, rediscover your strengths, and reconnect with what gives your life meaning.
I specialize in helping clients process trauma through EMDR, find peace, explore identity and purpose, navigate grief and loss, reduce anxiety and depression, address spiritual concerns, and move through career transitions or uncertainty. I also integrate creative approaches such as art and sand tray work when they support deeper reflection and healing.
Outside the counseling office, I enjoy reading the Mitford series by Jan Karon, dancing with my husband of 37 years to 70s and 80s music, watching Frasier, NCIS, or Downton Abbey, and playing with my lab/bloodhound mix, Duke, or our two cats, Calvin and Lily. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I am honored to listen, support, and walk alongside you as you move toward growth and healing.
I primarily offer in-person sessions, work with 18+age individuals and couples, with some telehealth availability.
