MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

What is Medication Management?

Medication Management at Cultivation Counseling

Finding the right balance for your mental health can feel overwhelming. If you’ve been struggling with anxiety, depression, mood swings, focus issues, or just feeling like yourself again, medication can be a helpful tool — when it’s managed thoughtfully and personally.

At Cultivation Counseling Boise, our board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) provide compassionate, personalized medication management for adults. We take the time to truly understand you before suggesting any treatment.

What to Expect

  • Comprehensive Initial Evaluation — We’ll meet with you to discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, physical health, life stressors, and goals. This helps us understand the full picture.

  • Collaborative Treatment Planning — Together, we’ll explore options that are right for you. This may include therapy, lifestyle changes, or non-medication approaches. Medication is never our only tool — it’s one option when it makes sense.

  • Expert Prescribing & Ongoing Support — If medication is appropriate, your provider will prescribe and carefully monitor it. We’ll work closely with your therapist, primary care doctor, or other providers (with your consent).

  • Regular Follow-Ups — You’ll meet consistently to evaluate how the medication is working, adjust dosing if needed, manage any side effects, and eventually taper off when you’re ready.

Our approach is person-centered and collaborative. We focus on improving your quality of life, helping you feel more stable, energized, and in control.
