Katie approaches counseling based on the client’s goals, experiences, identities and their own unique life lens. As a social worker, she has been trained in the strengths based and person centered approaches. Through the therapeutic process, she helps each client explore their strengths, understand where they feel disconnected, and determine how they want to develop in therapy.

Katie believes the most important part of therapy is feeling safe and understood with a therapist. Katie strives to create an inclusive, warm and welcoming space for all clients and is LGBTQIA+ identity affirming. 

As a midwest native, Katie lived in Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree in 2007 in marketing, and after 12 years focusing on a separate career, she decided that she wanted to help others grow. She completed her master of social work at Boise State in 2022. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys the active lifestyle that Boise has to offer from skiing, swimming to sand volleyball.
