DONNA M. WILLIAMS, MS, LPC

Therapist

Stepping into counseling with you is a privilege. As a licensed professional counselor, I find counseling to be an invitation to listen and empathize to what is going on in your heart, your head, and your world. When these don’t align, there is an incongruence that rattles our inner world. My desire is to assist adults, adolescents and children 6 and older, in finding agreement between the heart and head. I enjoy all ages because of my work with children for 15 years, and adults. After serving 10 years as a Children’s Pastor, I still believe that every age and every person is important. I realize that children cannot be successful unless parents are involved, and adults can be held captive by their own childhoods. Therefore, I chose to pursue counseling to help every age pursue healthy mental health. My focus is helping people: process trauma through EMDR, find purpose and value in their own life which is my specialty, understand grief, counter anxiety and depression, deal with spiritual distress, in career decision/indecision, by affirming children through play therapy, and guiding both children and adults using art and sand therapy.

A little about me, I enjoy the Mitford series books by Jan Karon, dancing with my husband of 33 years to 70s/80s music, watching Let’s Dance or Downton Abbey and walking my chocolate lab, Curby.  I listen attentively because you are the expert in your own life. I want to hear your story and walk alongside you in your journey.

I prefer seeing people in person but I will do some telehealth. I only want to see children 16 and younger in person.
