Counseling Intern

Sandra is an intern pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Boise State University. Sandra has experience working with young adults with anxiety, depression, personality and eating disorders. Sandra aims to create a safe environment where there is mutual collaboration in which clients may explore, reckon with, and adapt patterns of emotion, thought, and behavior to promote a more compassionate and realistic sense of self. Sandra is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals and support them through natural life transitions. Sandra is working under the supervision of a licensed counselor and Boise State University faculty.

Sandra was born in Lima, Peru and moved to the United States to pursue an elite athlete career before becoming a counselor.  In her spare time, Sandra likes being active in the community while trying to achieve her goal of petting all the dogs in Boise.
