Kylie Langer, LMSW
Licensed Master of Social Work
Kylie received her master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health and Addictions from Northwest Nazarene University and her bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Her passion for the outdoors, adventure and working with people led her to her career in Recreational Therapy and later in Counseling starting 13 years ago. Kylie is experienced in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and other related diagnoses. She has worked with adolescents and their parents in group, individual and family therapy and enjoys helping the individual and family as whole reach balance.
Kylie uses a person-centered, solution-focused approach to therapy while incorporating other therapeutic theories and modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care. She is a certified ATTACh therapist specializing in attachment trauma and related issues. She is a Gottman level one certified counselor, a certified Child and Youth Care worker, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and a Licensed Master Social Worker. She has extensive training in emotional regulation modalities including the RULER Approach as well as the Anasazi Foundation’s The Seven Paths and Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. She has spoken at both regional and national conferences and has joined in community efforts to increase service oriented efforts to bolster the communities mental and emotional health.
Kylie is an Idaho native and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family skiing, backpacking, mountain biking, camping, dirt biking and traveling.
